David Drexler was born in Los Angeles, the son of Holocaust survivors. “People go through life unaware of what ends up affecting the course of their lives,” said David. “When I think back as far as I can, I was nurtured with a deep and profound sense of Justice and a deep rooted desire to protect victimized people. I’m sure my Mother’s experience surviving the horrors of the infamous Auschwitz concentration camp had a lot to do with that.”
David worked throughout his school years at his parents’ landmark Jewish Delicatessen in the San Fernando Valley, Drexler’s Deli. “This is where I spent so much of my time listening to people talk about their lives and their struggles,” says David. “I learned many things working at the deli, but the most important things I learned were compassion for people and their problems. People are basically good; I like people and love trying to help in any way I can.”
Drexler’s interest in Justice and social issues guided him to the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), where he studied and earned his degree in Political Science, graduating Summa Cum Laude, with highest honors and was bestowed the Phi Beta Kappa honor, the nation’s oldest Academic Honor Society.
David then went on to study International Law and Diplomacy at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Washington DC, where he earned his Masters Degree in International Law and Diplomacy. “At that point I was still focused on helping people and serving Justice,” says David. “I was interested in Public Policy, but was always feeling myself pulled toward hands-on ways of directly helping people in their hour of need.”
After being conferred a Master's Degree from Johns Hopkins University, David was accepted to the Loyola University School of Law, in Los Angeles, where he studied Law. “I’m a people person,” says David. “I knew that by becoming an Attorney I would be in a better position to do what is necessary, in the real world to help people.” After graduating Law School, passing the California Bar in his first attempt, David began practicing Personal Injury Law. “I’m still affecting positive change in the world and fighting for Justice. Except now,” David says, “I’m doing it one person at a time, one case at a time.”
Attorney David Drexler is licensed to practice Law in all California Courts, including the Court of Appeals, Federal Court and the United States Supreme Court.
